Feature Age Studio

Same person.
Twenty years either way.

Push a face forward to see it older, or back to see it younger, without turning it into a different human being. The underlying structure stays put and only the things that actually age with time change.

01 How It Works

Ageing Is Not Just Wrinkles

Most age filters add lines and call it done, which is why the output looks like the same face wearing a texture.

Real ageing changes fat distribution, hairline, skin translucency and how light sits on the face. Those move together, and moving them together is what keeps the person recognisable.

Structure Holds, Surface Moves

Eye spacing, jaw width and nose shape are identity. They stay fixed. Skin, hair and softness are age, and those are what the studio changes.

03 02

Both Directions

Forward for a plausible older version, back for a younger one. Younger is the harder direction and benefits from a well lit source, since there is less detail to work back from.

FAQ Quick Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

How Far Can It Go?

Roughly a couple of decades in either direction stays believable. Beyond that the result drifts from the person and becomes a character rather than them.

Does It Work on Children?

We would rather you did not. Generating altered images of real children is the sort of thing that goes wrong in ways nobody wants.

Can I Keep the Background?

Yes. The change is applied to the subject, so the scene behind stays as shot.
